Blogging Update from The Deglutenizer

Hey, guys! I know it’s been forever since I posted a recipe, and I wanted to let you know that I’m in the process of rearranging my whole life to be able to get back to blogging again. I promise that soon I’ll be back in the game.

So why haven’t I been writing?

Well, I took on an additional side job on Mondays, and although it’s been wonderful, it’s also been a distraction. I have a blog, I’m baking and selling at area green markets as a cottage food vendor, and I’m trying to launch a new service for restaurant consultation. I have enough of my own work to do that adding anything else to my pile diverts my focus away from my projects. Although the extra income has been nice, I’m leaving that job to put 100% of my energy back into The Deglutenizer.

Why did I take that job knowing it would pull me off-course?

I needed the money. Florida is a seasonal economy, and I hemorrhaged cash over the summer at the green markets. Now that we’re getting into both our usual tourist season and the holiday season, I’m doubling down on The Deglutenizer.

Are you doing anything for the holidays?

YES! Online, I’m planning to try to live-stream all my Thanksgiving cooking on YouTube. I’ll probably do a practice run next week where I just live-stream me making dinner or baking for the green markets or something. Stay tuned for that.

I’m also going to do a $1 raffle at the green markets for customers to potentially win a gluten-free Thanksgiving pie. Options will include pumpkin, sweet potato, or maple bourbon pecan. I’m working out the kinks, and should be ready to introduce the raffle at the Wednesday Green Market tomorrow.

Speaking of the market tomorrow, I have to get back to baking. I hope you all stick with me as I replot my course and press on into uncharted territories. I want to get back to blogging regularly, plus bake so many delicious gluten-free baked goods for the area green markets, and I’d love to launch my restaurant consultation service soon to improve gluten-free dining options on the Treasure Coast (the area where I live in Florida).
